Every year, APA hosts orientations for parents of students going on summer study abroad programs. The parents' orientations, which include both general and program-specific meetings, cover such topics as payments, health and safety, insurance, packing, and risk managment. Parents will also have the chance to meet APA staff and the program directors and to ask questions. A schedule of orientations will be mailed to parents starting in March. Attendance is not mandatory, but we encourage any parents with questions about the programs to attend.
Invitations are mailed to the addresses students list as "permanent address" on their study abroad applications. The orientations for summer programs are held in April - early May.We will also post the schedule of orientations on this website.
