LSU at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival

 

Program Description
This program is designed to provide you with a once-in-a-lifetime encounter with the largest arts festival in the world today: the Edinburgh Fringe Festival! Create, perform, and promote a show from LSU, and participate in the festival as theatre professionals while simultaneously being exposed to productions from all over the world!

Program Dates
July 22 - August 20, 2010.

Eligibility
2.5 gpa for undergraduates, 3.0 for graduate students. This program is open to currently enrolled undergraduate and graduate students who are not planning to graduate in August, 2010. If you have an interest in being involved with the production of live theatre in an international setting and are willing to interact with people from many different nationalities and languages, this is the program for you!

Courses Offered
THTR 3800 – Theatre Internship
THTR 4029 – Special Topics in Stage Movement

Expected Program Costs
The program fee is estimated at $4,000. This includes housing, breakfast every day, transportation in Edinburgh, class-related activities, and health insurance.

Airfare and LSU tuition are not included in the cost of the program.

Financial Aid
Students may apply for a $1,000 scholarship offered by the Office of Student Aid & Scholarships. The application will be available by January.
