If you visit Dar-Es-Salaam,  you visit Tanzania; if you visit Tanzania, you visit the land of the Kilimanjaro—the roof of Africa. You can also visit the Serengeti, Olduvai Gorge—the birthplace of humans—Ngorongoro Crater, arguably, one of the Seven Wonders of the World, and more!  When you visit  the University of Dar-Es-Salaam, you visit the Mecca of Kiswahili, the Center  for Research and Development of Swahili Language and Culture;  you also visit the Indian Ocean  and enjoy the soothing cool breeze from coconut palm trees and sun and sand, and silver sands, at that!

The program will initially be based at Bagamoyo Beach Resort Hotel, with room and full board provided.

Now, Bagamoyo  is a historic city, some twenty miles to the North of Dar-Es-Salaam. It was the first German colonial headquarters. .As well as that, the first Roman Catholic missionaries to mainland Tanzania built their first mission station at Bagamoyo, in the 1860s, and it is still there to date.

The program will also include excursions to Mikumi Wildlife Reserve, some 170 miles, or so, West of Dar-es-Salaam;  possibly,  to Saadani National Park, about 60 miles North of Dar-es-Salaam, and  to Zanzibar, one of Tanzania’s spice islands.  And all that for only $3,520.00,  excluding air fare!  This price may change.

NB Tanzania is a Third World Country, indeed, one of the least developed and poorest countries, it would  therefore be most unreasonable for program particClick to see more photos.ipants to expect super luxurious accommodation, be that in the hotels or in the homes. Nevertheless, what Tanzania has in abundance, and offers readily,  is hospitality, warmth and sharing.
