International Exchange Costs
Costs for students placed into an ISEP exchange school are as follows:
—$375 ISEP application fee
—$175 internal APA fee
—LSU tuition and fees for 15 hours is paid (approximately $3,180 for instate students and $9,684 for out of state students)
—Room and meals are paid to LSU (approximately $5,500)
—Temporary housing to cover lodging during orientation (approximately $200)
—Books and supplies
—Airfare and travel while on exchange
—Spending money while on exchange
Note: Benefits for ISEP-Exchanges are equivalent, not identical. They are based on the norm at your host institution and may be different from housing and meal costs at your home institution. For example, you might receive a meal stipend amount that is different monetarily from what you paid at LSU; the stipend you receive at the host institution is based on the local cost of living and is the amount that the outgoing international student has paid for you to take his/her place. Keep in mind that the program fee that you pay at your home university is not only allowing you to go abroad, but permitting another ISEP student to study in your place at your home university.
Costs for students placed into an ISEP school through ISEP Direct are as follows:
—$375 ISEP Direct program deposit
—$175 Internal APA fee
—Tuition and fees of your host university (varies by school and country) See cost information

—Books and supplies
—Airfare and travel while on exchange
—Spending money while on exchange
Costs for students placed at a Bilateral Agreement school are as follows:
—$200 Bilateral application fee
—LSU tuition and fees for 15 hours (approximately $3,180 for instate students and $9,684 for out of state students)
—Room and meals at your host institution (varies by school and country)
—Books and supplies
—Airfare and travel while on exchange
—Spending money while on exchange
Additonal expenses for all students going on exchange may include the following:
—LSU concurrent enrollment fee ($100 per semester on exchange)
--- International Cultural Center fee ($10 per semester on exchange)
—Passports
—Visas
—Insurance
—Currency conversion transaction fee
—Personal Expenses
