Prospective Students Eligibility To be eligble for exchange, you must:
Application Process 1. NSE has a placement conference once a year, in early March. Students who apply before the March placement conference can apply for all of the schools in the National Student Exchange. After this conference, each school submits its own deadlines for "post-conference placements." However, if a school meets its exchange student capacity at the conference, it will close to exchanges for the upcoming academic year. 2. Choose some schools. You can do this in several ways. You may already have an idea of where you want to go. Or, visit the National Student Exchange website's Member Campuses page to see the schools available (if you're applying after early March, see which schools are still available here). You may be unsure if you can exchange with your major; if so, visit the Majors page, where you can either choose your major and see what schools offer it or choose a school and see if your major is offered. If you are curious about what courses a school offers, visit NSE's Campus Catalogs page. 3. Schedule a meeting with the NSE coordinator (dhumble@lsu.edu) or stop by 140 Hatcher Hall for an NSE interest meeting (for times, see the calendar) to discuss your options. 4. Either pick up an application packet from the NSE coordinator, or download and fill out the application packet:
4. Turn in the application to the NSE coordinator. At the time you are entered for placement, a $238 application fee will be charged to your fee bill. |
