National Student Exchange Costs

Going on a national exchange is extremely affordable. Aside from tuition and housing, an initial application fee of $238 that is charged to your fee bill once you turn an application in.

NSE offers two playment plans for exchange, called Plan A and Plan B. Students who choose Plan A pay the in-state tuition and fees of their host university, as well as housing and a meal plan (if the student chooses to live on campus). Students who choose Plan B pay tuition and fees to their home university, LSU, and pay for housing and meals at their host university (if the student chooses to live on campus).

Whether students choose Plan A or Plan B, TOPS and most other financial aid applies. Out-of-state students are better off choosing Plan A, if possible, because they'd pay in-state tuition to their host campus.

Costs for exchanging through NSE are as follows:
$238 application fee
$100 concurrent enrollment fee (per semester on exchange)
Tuition and fees to either LSU or the host university

Fees to the host university (from $0 to $400)
